Our days become so filled with constant movement and chaos that we often find it difficult to take a second to get away. Weeks filled with nothing but tasks we have to accomplish and no time for breathers often make us overcome with stress and a feeling of disappointment in our lives. Taking me time every day is essential to our overall health.
You need to take a moment each day to just be. Breathe. Relax. Forget about the things you have to finish that day. Even if all you get is five minutes to yourself, you need to find some sort of time to have a minute alone and be able to think.
Read a chapter in a book. Scroll through Facebook. Take a bubble bath. Watch a TV show. Each of these things lets you sit by yourself for a bit and focus on something else other than chores you have to get done. Taking me time allows you to destress and refocus your energy.
